Forex Market

USD firms as geopolitics drive volatility, with AUD holding near 0.7160.
Markets traded unevenly overnight as shifting headlines around a potential U.S.–Iran ceasefire influenced risk sentiment. The U.S. dollar strengthened broadly during risk-off periods, while commodity-linked currencies like the AUD and NZD remained volatile. The DXY strengthened, AUD/USD held steady, NZD/USD softened, while EUR/USD and GBP/USD moved higher, and USD/JPY continued to advance.
AUD/USD traded within a tight range before settling near current levels, while NZD/USD initially spiked on stronger CPI data but later eased. USD/JPY pushed higher alongside rising U.S. yields, while EUR/USD and GBP/USD recovered following late-session ceasefire headlines.
