USD: Rallies on Tariff Headlines, Then Pulls Back

The U.S. dollar saw renewed strength on tariff announcements but later eased against most currencies. The Canadian dollar strengthened on robust employment data, while the Aussie remained range-bound.

  • AUD/USD traded between 0.6557–0.6595, closing at 0.6576.
  • NZD/USD dipped to 0.6001.
  • EUR/USD dropped to 1.1665 before bouncing to 1.1695.
  • GBP/USD hovered near lows at 1.3522.
  • USD/CAD jumped to 1.3730 on tariff headlines before retreating to 1.3652.
