USD Softens Late as AUD Fails to Hold Fresh YTD Highs

USD Edges Higher in Thin Trade; AUD/USD Holds Near 0.6694
FX markets were subdued amid light liquidity, with the USD modestly firmer against its G10 peers as US yields ticked higher. The US 10-year yield rose 2bps to 4.13%, supporting the greenback despite limited reaction to stronger US housing data and the release of the FOMC minutes.
AUD/USD traded in a narrow 0.6688–0.6717 range, holding near 0.6700 as Asia opened, outperforming several peers. EUR/USD slipped to fresh session lows near 1.1745, while GBP/USD dipped below 1.3450. USD/JPY climbed to 156.56, reflecting yield differentials, while NZD/USD softened toward 0.5790 in quiet trade.
