USD: Softer Bias; AUD & NZD Hold Upper Ranges
The USD softened into the New York close as bond yields edged lower and rate-cut expectations continued to build. Risk sentiment remained constructive, supporting higher-beta currencies.
AUD/USD held a steady range through the session, finding support on dips, while NZD/USD also stabilised ahead of the key RBNZ decision. EUR/USD and GBP/USD extended modest gains as European sentiment improved, while USD/JPY eased as yields slipped.
Overall, the session closed with a mild risk-on tone, a softer USD, and commodity currencies holding near the top of their recent ranges.
