USD: Mixed After Volatile Session
The U.S. dollar oscillated as softer PPI data initially pressured the greenback before political headlines drove sharp volatility, with stability returning into the NY close.
- AUD/USD traded between 0.6496–0.6554, closing near 0.6528.
- NZD/USD rebounded to 0.5969 after testing early lows.
- EUR/USD lifted to 1.1725 from intraday lows around 1.1563.
- GBP/USD jumped to 1.3485 after UK CPI surprised at 3.6% YoY.
- USD/JPY slumped from 149.00 to under 147.00.
- USD/CAD reversed from 1.3755 highs to 1.3680.
AUD: Sharp Reversal on U.S. Headlines
AUD erased losses after Trump-related Fed headlines triggered broad USD selling. Resistance seen near 0.6600, with strong demand at 0.6400.
