USD Strengthens as Geopolitical Tensions Drive Risk-Off Sentiment
The U.S. Dollar strengthened broadly as escalating Middle East tensions triggered a risk-off shift, with investors moving into safe-haven assets while rising U.S. yields and surging oil prices added further support. As a result, commodity-linked currencies underperformed, with the Australian and New Zealand Dollars weakening, the Euro and British Pound sliding, while the Japanese Yen and Canadian Dollar saw the USD push higher amid heightened market volatility.
