Forex Market
USD: Broad-Based Weakness
The dollar came under pressure across the board as dovish comments from Fed’s Kashkari and disappointing ISM data weighed on sentiment.
- AUD/USD held firm in a 0.6469–0.65085 range, closing near 0.6506.
- NZD/USD advanced to highs of 0.5936, supported by broader USD weakness.
- EUR/USD climbed to 1.16685, while GBP/USD hit a high of 1.33685.
- USD/JPY fell to 146.99, reflecting lower yields and reduced risk appetite.
AUD: Outperforms on Broad USD Pullback
The AUD was well supported throughout the session, benefiting from a risk-on mood and soft USD. Energy and materials gains on the ASX also lent support.

European markets opened firmer and held gains through the session:
- CAC, DAX, FTSE +0.2%, Stoxx 50 +0.3%
- Crude prices rebounded slightly, and U.S. yields held steady.
