AUD Holds Firm as USD Retreats in Mixed Global Session

Forex Market 

USD Weakens as Yen Breaks Support and Commodity Currencies Strengthen
The US dollar softened through the New York session, led by USD/JPY breaking below the 155.00 level to trade as low as 154.665, while strength in commodity-linked currencies saw AUD/USD rise toward 0.6566 and NZD/USD touch 0.5751. The euro and pound extended gains to 1.1653 and 1.3276 respectively, as USD/CAD slipped toward 1.3955, with only a modest recovery in the greenback later in the session following mixed US manufacturing data.
